Showpiece privacy policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Showpiece is run by Showpiece, and you can reach us at noahvanlienden@gmail.com. This policy explains what Showpiece collects, why, where it is kept and how you can delete it.

What Showpiece collects

When you use Showpiece without an account. The first time you visit, Showpiece gives your browser a guest account, kept in a cookie, so that your work stays yours. A guest account holds no name or email address.

When you sign in. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, also the name and profile picture that Google shares with us. Nothing else from your Google account.

What you bring in. There are three ways to bring a screen into Showpiece, and each is stored so you can keep working on it:

What you make. Your shots: how you arranged a screen, and any words you added or changed.

Technical data. A cookie that keeps you signed in, and the usual server logs (IP address, time and the page asked for). To prevent abuse, Showpiece also counts recent requests per IP address for a short time.

Showpiece has no advertising and no analytics trackers, and does not sell your data.

Why

To run Showpiece for you: to keep you signed in, store what you bring in and what you make, and create your images. To keep it working and secure: server logs, limits on use and preventing abuse. The legal basis is providing the service you asked for, and our legitimate interest in keeping it secure.

Who else handles it

Showpiece uses these services to run. Each one handles your data only to provide its service to us:

How long it is kept

Deleting your data

You can delete any shot or anything you brought in, inside Showpiece. To delete everything, open the account menu, choose Delete account and confirm with the link we email you: your account, everything you brought in and every shot are then deleted. You can also email noahvanlienden@gmail.com to ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion. You can complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies

Showpiece uses one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you signed in, or keeps your guest account yours. It uses no tracking or advertising cookies.

The Showpiece browser extension

The extension reads a tab only when you choose it, and sends that page to your Showpiece account and nowhere else. Its data is used only to provide Showpiece's capture feature, is never sold or passed to others, and is never used for advertising or to decide creditworthiness. It complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

Showpiece is not meant for children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in Showpiece before the change takes effect.
